Comfort Foods Vol. 1
Our friends over at FLYINTROPICAL can appreciate the beauty and simplicity of this dish. Sōmen is a dish of ice chilled wheat noodles typically served in the summer to cool off. The beauty of this dish is that it is light and refreshing and easy to make.
This version consisted of char-siu (chinese bbq pork), kamaboko (fish cake), tamagoyaki (Japanese omelette), shitake, and katsuobushi (dried, smoked and shaved bonito). The dipping broth consisted of shoyu, katsuobushi, sesame oil, toasted sesame, and green onion.
Sōmen will tame the tiger.
