roughfisher caddis nymphs

The first batch of the season is done: a couple of caddis nymph ties, based loosely off of Fox's Poopah.

Tied on a Daiichi 1120. Black 6/0 Uni thread, Chameleon green micro chenille body, gold Ultrawire rib, peacock glimmer chenille thorax, partridge hackle, 4mm gunmetal bead. Glimmer and micro chenilles can be substituted with any color to match the watershed. The purple variations were tied to increase visibility in the turbid waters of the Otter Tail.

Fish heavy in the rocks. Hold on tight. Roughfish beware.
