Author of Pike on the Fly, Carp on the Fly, and most recently, Mastering Pike on the Fly, Barry Reynolds knows a thing or two about tying big flies for big fish. Barry's pike fly is a classic pattern for targeting large esocids. These patterns were tied larger than life, 10 to 12 inches long, for the pursuit of maashkinoozhe, or ugly pike. Better known as Esox masquinongy, the muskellunge.

  2. So pretty in pink. Where do you find the time to tie these beautiful flies you've been doing?!

  3. @Dave: I reached in to the vault and dig out these patterns. They had been suffering a cruel and agonizing death suffocating in a polyethylene coffin. Luckily they got some fresh air to breathe.
