The curse of the mayfly; you hear about it all the time from bait anglers. Well I've been snubbed by the curse before too, most notably on my last visit to Beaver Island on Lake Michigan in 2013. Carp were busy feasting on large hex mayflies at night, and were busy taking a siesta during the day. I was literally dragging flies across carp's noses to no avail. Now I'm prepared.
